Precision Injection Moulding

Optical precision injection-moulding production

The first article evaluation for determining manufacturing readiness and the mass production of plastic optical parts takes place in our precision injection-moulding facility. This is where we combine ultra-modern technology and the latest injection-moulding processes with our wide range of knowledge and experience.

Production equipment:

Production takes place in a controlled climate and wherever necessary in clean-room conditions. The majority is performed using full-electric machines with clamping pressures ranging from 15 to 450 tonnes, and  shot weights of 0.1-1000 grams.

An essential prerequisite for the precise, reproducible production of plastic optics.
Surfaces with optical microstructures can only be realised with high-precision injection-moulding machines. Special injection-moulding techniques are required to comply with the specific demands of plastic optics. In addition to common injection-moulding procedures, we employ injection embossing for the finest structures and hot embossing for thick-walled components.
Sensitive optics or lenses with special packaging requirements are to be processed by CNC-handling systems.
